Dear NG,

For a little week I have been wondering about a slight smell metallic
from me air con. Since I live close to the airport and local sewer
plant I do not pay much attention to this.
However yesterday going up hill on the motorway on cruise 120 km/t at
3.000 rpm in 5th a clear lack of power and outage from the engine was
felt.

I looked this evening in the engine bay and found this sight:

Can anybody tell me if this cracked hose is:

A. Hose from the Intercooler
B. Oil-to-air cooler for turbo (I don't know if my car got one though)

In case of A, can anybody then tell me why I got some oil sprayed
around the engine, could it be vacum efffect form the engine pulling it
back in the hose or ???
My engine oil level is okay and no lamps warning etc... has lit during
the past week.

Regards.

Looks more like the hose of the radiator which contains the coolant of
the motor. Looking at the color, it doesn't seems that good (mix of
coolant and oil). Mine still looks very blue after 185.000 km.

Regards.

The plastc tube, intercooler to engine is broken.
The oli sprayed on the engine is the normal oil in the turbo pipe.
