Makollig Jassvahted - 20 Jan 2007 11:23 GMT Bloody good isn't it? The thing comes on every time one of the number plate lights is a bit dodgly, a little tap on the number plate bulb holder sorts it out.
Now, with a blown N/S dipped headlight bulb it *doesn't* come on.
'Twas tricky removing the duff bulb, I'm thinking it going to be even harder to replace it after reading a few of the posts in here.

I did one last weekend. On the nearside - which is the worst side.

Give me the relative simplicity of the 75 any day.
There's acres of room in that engine bay.
Could be worse, though - we could have 2.4JTDs.
'fag, get, paper, couldnt, there, in, a'..... arrange into a well-known saying ;-)

I had to do BOTH sidelights on mine. Don't ask..oh well, took out the working offside one first to get the ideal and feel for the job on the trickier blown near side. You guessed it - the worker's filament was broken on inspection - the movement was the final straw! :-(( I cheer myself up by saying that it must have been about to go anyway! Pricey little things too..

Do you have evidence that it can be done (video footage, affidavit signed by your local magistrate, etc.) ??

Why have people (and not just the chav clones) stopped using indicators anyway?

I suspected that Jim thought you were seriously promoting the driving of BMWs so I was trying - with what I had hoped was some subtlety - to tell him that he might have misunderstood your comment which I took to be ironic.
There is a jokey rule in journalism that one should always alert the reader to irony by using an ironic typeface. The irony is that there's no such thing. Ha ha ha ha... (ironic laughter)
> Why have people (and not just the chav clones) stopped using > indicators anyway? Because, in line with the spirit of the age, they don't take other people into consideration if they can't see any direct benefit to themselves. And they are too self-absorbed and/or stupid to realise that we and they benefit from such consideration in the long run.
Bah!
And now...
...time for me to lighten up :)

I hadn't seen the irony. But I did after your comment of course. When I hear anyone promoting BMW I just feel sorry for them....first reaction.....and this time I missed the funny. Sorry. But glad everyone in here seems to agree what blockheads they are!

Irony...is that similar to steely and aluminumy?

These will soon be followed by a complete collapse of the UK economy, particularly service industries. The only option for survival will be re-deployment of the work-force into manual work (dark satanic mills etc..). In preparation for this, the far-sighted among us have stopped using indicators, thereby obviating the need to replace blown bulbs, and keeping what's left of our fingertips in the process. Ah yes, we'll be ready to apply for those manual jobs ("only aplicants possessing all their fingers need apply").

So let's reflect...you consciously choose not to use your finger to switch on an indicator? You aspire to manual work? In a dark satanic mill? And you advertise these facts?
Your name is Kevin, you drive a BMW, and you live in Essex, and I claim my £5.
