Alfa 147 new special edition?

Hi Group

2 weeks ago I put my deposit for a brand new alfa romeo 147 Collezione 1.9
JTD 3 door, black.
The dealer, the biggest in the UK, at first told me that there were none
left due to the limited number available in the UK but then apparently
managed to find one.
However a few days ago they rang me up saying they could only find a red
one, and as I'm not keen on red i cancelled the deal.
The day after they called me again saying that after speaking directly to
Alfa in Italy, they found out that another special edition with similar
specs and special reduced price would be available in the UK from April, but
apart from that they couldn't tell me much more.

Now I can't hardly wait, I need to know what this new special edition will
be, I can't find anything on the internet, I know that in Italy there are
other special editions like the Blackline or Exclusive.
If any of you has any inside information, please take me out of my misery
and let me know what this model is or if the dealer is just bullsh*tting
while keeping hold of my deposit.

Importers specify a package based on the exeprience they have with their
home market and then give that package a name.
So every importer makes it's own specification, so "Collezione" in the UK
may well be different from Italian/German/Dutch versions (apart from having
the steering wheel on the "wrong" side)

I was phoned this evening by Alfa sales as a follow up for having looked
at the 147 Collezione.
I asked if there was another special offer in the pipeline soon and I
was told there was not.
However I was told that at around the end of this year Alfa would
introduce to the UK an
entry model called the Junior.

WRONG INFO
End of the year / early 2008 the 147 successor will be introduced as 148 of,
more likely the 149

The "Junior" will be a coupe based on the 148/149 and most likely introduced
BEFOR the 148/149

I got the answer from the Alfa Romeo customer service, there\'s indeed a
new limited edition coming out, but the price is much higher than the
Collezione, see extract from their email below:

\"We can confirm that there will be another Alfa 147 produced in limited
quantity. This Alfa 147 will be similar in spec to the Alfa 147
Collezione, i.e. it will have the leather upholstery, 17Alloy wheels,
Remote audio control and metallic/special paint. This Alfa 147 will only
be available in the 1.9 JTDm 3door or 5 doors. The colour combinations
will be as follows, Alfa Red Exterior with Black leather interior
Stromboli Grey Exterior with Black leather interior Carbonio Black
Exterior with Sahara Beige interior The 1.9 JTDm 3 door will be
approximately 18100 GBP on the road and the 1.9 JTDm 5door will be
approximately 18650 GBP on the road.\"
