thankfully it goes soon... so don't really care about outcome too much...
My new motor is due to arrive mid-feb. Disappointingly, not an Alfa 159 SW -
like I wanted... but a Volvo V50 SW.
I more or less expect to get mine back and then wave goodbye to it...
I feel badly let down by Alfa... (9yrs and 4 alfas down the line..146,
156Mk1, 147, 156Mk2) 'cos I couldn't even get a sensible lease price on the
159 through our leasing Co...
I guess Alfa don't value the lease market enough to price them sensibly..
the dealer tells me that this is becoming a common story..

Let me know what the V50 is like, as it's on my car list.
We've postponed replacement until October (ignoring the mileage and
going for the 'or' 3 years instead - my Panzer will have around 120k on
it when it finally goes back).
I'm after a slushomatic V50 or an Audi A3 Sportback 2.0TDI DSG next.

It's not Alfa who set lease prices - it's the market.
I reckon the lease companies have hugely under-valued the 159 on the
used market. Look at how 156s held up for around 5 years before they
started to really drop in price.

My fleet manager just laughed when I asked for an Alfa.

On our list (with GE) the Volvo V50 is a no-brainer.
they are dirt cheap on a 1 yr deal. 2&3 yr deals are less attractive.
I've gone for the 2.0L Diesel Rdesign sport.
