Hi, everyone,

I have been recently been planinng to buy a Alfa 156 Selespeed, it is
in 52 reg, around 63k miles, it is priced to £2800, I am quite
interested in it, I have heared that there have been some issues with
selespeed gearbox, but I really love Alfa 156, can anyone give me some
suggestions about the test before buying it? what should I pay extra
attentionto ??

Thanks a lot .

Thank a lot for your suggestions, I have just confirmed with Alfa main
dealer that the car still got two years warranty on the gearbox after
last repairing job in December 2007,

Do you think it is worth buying ? can anyone give any suggestion about
the test drive?

Best regards.

I think the implications of the phrase "last repairing job" should
considered very carefully.

With particular attention to the full meaning of the word 'last' and
possibly the word 'next'.

There *is* a way though..if the op has several three grand bundles of
notes, that'll see him ok for a few years assuming he's got
alternative transport or doesn't need it!
