Greetings !
The car - 86 Fiero 2M4
The problem - I just uncovered it after the Winter. Put in the battery and
had a short.Reconnected some wires and tried to fire it up. Engine turns
over, it has spark and there's gas up to the throttle body however the
injector isn't squirting. I put some gas down the throat and it'll run until
it burns of. Any help or ideas are appreciated !
Thanks in advance !

Sounds like the injector has failed, or the power to it has
failed. Explain what you mean by "short".

The way this inector works is that 12V battery power is
provided at all times via the ignition switch and the INJ
fuse. To complete the circuit and open the injector, the
ECM provides a ground using a transistor inside the ECM
case. You can use a meter to check for power one one of
the two wires at the injector when the key is in RUN. If
no power, check the fuse. Use a meter to check the fuse,
those blade-type fuses commonly fail by cracking and will
look perfectly good even though they're bad.

Alternately, you can buy what's called a "noid light" or
injector tester, it's basically a lightbulb in a plastic
case that plugs into the injector harness connector. It
will blink while you're cranking. If it doesn't blink then
you check the wiring.
