Welcome, Rob. We are well aware of you as another New Englander in the
Fiero community. You should know that this newsgroup was begun when the
only Fiero forum in existence was operated by the Fiero "listnazi". He
even threw Ed Parks off!!! So Wallace Krebs started his mail list
(cochaired by Eric), Cliff Pennock started his very popular website,
and I started this newsgroup all about the same time. Each provide a
different portal into the world of Fieros. This newsgroup needs a good
shot in the arm every now and then but as long as we can maintain
enough interest, the ISPs will keep it on their servers. So yes...
welcome and participate.

I have always wanted to make a convertible. I altered some photos a few
years back to see what my 87 coupe would look like. Good luch and we'll
be following your progress.

Well being a new guy here I have to ask, who is the listnazi and what group
was it?

It was an email mailing list. You would send an email to
the list, it was something like Fiero@fiero.com and the
mail server would forward it from there to all the members
that were subscribed. The owner of the domain and physical
hardware was a guy named Pete Zurich, and he also served
as moderator. Every message was read by him before being
forwarded to the other members. If he didn't like what you
wrote he deleted your name from the list. If you asked to
be put back on he would charge you money. He drove the list
into the ground. A guy named Sizemore restarted the list
a few years later but it was hit or miss and never took off,
and by then Pennock's Fiero Forum was created and instantly
became a worldwide hit. Zurich faded away into obscurity,
as people like him are wont to.
