FOR SALE: 1985 GT Fiero. It's red with a grey interior, 4 speed trans,
V6 (of course). Options include A/C (not sure if it works - never
tested it), power windows, sunroof, trunk release, an aftermarket
Jensen CD player (again, never tested). It has good tires all around.
It has NO RUST - trunk corners are perfect, and underneath the car
will make you smile. That's the main reason I bought it - it really is
that rust free. It does not appear to have ever been hit either. It
runs and drives very well/strong, but needs some minor work that I am
not going to do in order to keep the price low. One of the things it
needs is a speedometer head. It doesn't work, and without it working
the car will stall on deceleration unless you put in the clutch.
Another thing it "needs" is interior work. Look at the center console
in the pictures and you'll see what I mean. It has been repainted once
before, and it isn't that great either, but it's all one color and
shade! You'll see the areas that I thought needed to be shown the
most. Also I have new, in-the-box "Paul McKibben" sail panels that go
with the car. The car is currently for sale at The Fiero Factory in
Toney AL, so if you are in the area and want to see it or take it for
a test drive around the yard (it's not registered so *technically* you
can't go out on the street with it .), stop on by.
I'd like to get as much of my $1500 investment back if possible.
Please email if interested or if you would like more details. Pictures
can be seen on my website - <http://www.boomtastic.com>
www.boomtastic.com - under the "Gallery" section. Look for the "For
Sale" menu option. Make me an offer - it's got to go!! :-)
Want more pictures? Just tell me what you want to see and I'll take
more. It has an open/clear Arkansas title, and can be hauled anywhere
in the lower 48 states for a small fee.
A Carfax has been recently run on the vehicle, and can be seen here:

NOTE: The Carfax shows an odometer problem. I agree, and bet that it
was listed incorrectly somewhere along the way (which is very easy to
do!). Look at the mileage listed in Carfax and you can see what I
mean. Mileage according to the odometer is 144,864 miles, and I
believe that to be true based upon vehicle condition and previous
Carfax reports.

A GT with a 4-speed? That's sad.
The Getrag-5 is what makes the real GT's valuable still.
Sorry to hear that you have a 4 in yours.

Hey Art,
He has a 4-speed because it's an 85. I have an 86GT with a 4-speed in
it. I also have an 86 with a 5-speed. Halfway thru 86 they started
putting 5-speeds into Fieros. Before that... only had to shift 4 times.
I hate shifting anyway. :-)

Unfortunately, that's how they came. No V6 came with a 5 speed until
the end of 1986, when the last 2000 fastbacks came with the 5 speed
Getrag. Prior to that, it was only a 4 speed.
No whether the Getrag makes it "valuable", "rare" or just downright
"costly" is another topic for discussion itself.
Either way, the Fiero is on eBay now: http://tinyurl.com/owter
Everyone go there and bid, bid, BID! :)
