Where I work we have a lot of Delrin scrap and one of my headlight
motor started to die today.   I hate to buy Delrin bushing when we
trash Delrin everyday.

What size (diameter and length) are the bushing in the motors?

Wanna go even cheaper?  (yeah yeah, they're free for *you* but....)

Take a large glue gun stick and slice it up - they're just about the right
size, and material!  :)

Thickness?  As long as they don't stick up above the edges....

I found some on Ebay and was going to buy them Sunday night if I
didn't find out what size they were.  If I did find out what size to
make the bushing then I was going to take the headlight apart on
Sunday and make the Bushing Monday and get it fix fast.

Yes, I am cheap, this is a 18  year old Fiero not a Corvette, Porsche,
Lamborghini, Ford GT, or Pantera.

I wish you hadn't used the "...." the way I took it the first time I
read the message it sounded like you was calling me cheap.  But after
reading the message several times, I can see where you was going with
this.

Nope - wasn't calling _you_ cheap!  :)

Heck - we're all Fiero owners here - we know what we are.  ;)

It was more a message to all on how to do it on the 'inexpensive' side.

I bought them from the Fiero Store when I fixed mine, they were pretty
"cheap" heh.

I order some off Ebay but I hate to throw something in the trash then
buy the same thing.  All the scrap Delrin sitting around at work too
small for what we need it for but large enough to make the bushing out
of.

It like finding a nice piece of Oak wood, I have to make something out
of it, when most other people would just pitch it.
