EGR Stuck or maybe the Fuel filter or just need a tune-up. some people never

Also possible that the pintle in the Idle Air Control Valve (IAC) on the
throttle body is sticking. Try removing the valve and cleaning it.

Would check the EGR.  Although it just happening overnight is hard
to think as they mine have went bad while driving.  I would check
your fuel pressure and see what you get there.  You can also post on
www.fiero.nl,  www.fieronews.netand  www.fierodotcom.com and see
what you can get from them.

It's a relay that costs $28 that you need to buy to fix this.  There are two
relays it could be and you should replace them both.  It is a common problem
and it's the reason I am considering buying another fiero today for $600.
