Hi Folks --

I had posted a question (in late July) on my inability to start a 1950
Packard. The correct answer came from leonks (J S Lucas) and tjridenh
(Tom R-McH) -- just depress the gas pedal to the floor.

I needed to start the car to take pictures to sell the car. In case
anyone is interested, the car is on ebay motors now, and will be
closing Sunday 9/26 at 7 pm PST.  The item number is 2490360098.

I am woefully tardy in exprressing my thanks to all of you who tried
to help me with the ignition issue. I do tip my hat to all you
friendly folks out there, it was nice of you to come to the aid of an
antique-auto dummy!

All best

Gorgeous car. Makes me wonder: my father was a mechanic at Mt. Vernon
Studebaker (which took over Packard as well, about, IIRC, '54) in the early to
mid-1950s. It's entirely possible he tuned this car a time or two back then.
