Gents, Mates,

after me managing to buy an very expensive litre of professional paint
in belief of having a vehicle

- Color-Code 155 - Dark Grey Metallic (body is ex-FJ60 - 1987, label
missing!)

I am in search of what colour code mine REALLY has. It is Grey Metallic,
but lighter than what I applied yesterday. Maybe someone can help.

Other possibility - I'm just such an amateur not knowing that when I
apply the top clear coating the colour changes to lighter? Dunno. Please
advise.

Anyhow, this sux.

Thanks in advance,

Axel

are you able to take a sample of the paint to a paint shop (auto). they will
be able to match the colour for you . best thing to take along is a fuel
filler flap.

Good point. I think this is it if I can't get the right code from some of the
pre-owners.

Thanks,

Axel

I think the body has 153 'Warm Grey' - matches best with the sample.
I managed to get a quarter of pure black to mix with the wrong colour for free
so I can do a pretty cool dual-color artwork on this Cruiser.
Anyway, twice the work and cost. Dammit. Next time I'll know better.

Thanks mates!
