It's hard to get a laugh over the price of fuel these days but this one does it for me :))

Good one.
Sad though isn't it. Seriously thinking about putting the cruiser on LPG.
Bit expensive though, as not only have to pay for the conversion, but also
have to fork out for a rear wheel carrier to make room for the tank.
Another reason I've discounted doing it before is because I don't trust them
to keep the price low. Be just my luck to get it done and then have the
price of LPG catch up to gasoline.
Bugger - should have listened to TD4GRUNT. What's the towing limit of a
Freelander :)

I heard a rumour that the tax on lpg will rise in 1 - 2 years to make it
similar to the cost of petrol. Could anyone confirm/deny this? This is a
major factor in me choosing my next car, whether to go turbo diesel or LPG.

I've been thinking of bio diesel for years. Apparently so had the Govt so
they slapped a tax on one of the components. So much for them wanting us to
be cleaner and greener (and cheaper). !

Wasn't there something in the news recently about the gov increasing one of the
taxes on LPG over xxx years until it reached the same price as petrol etc?
