Anyone else been given the ole recall by Toyota for steering bits that may
be cracked?

Glad to see that they are letting everyone know and are paying for it.

Dear Toyota Owner,
Thank you... blah blah blah...., Toyota is announcing a recall campaign that
includes your vehicle.

In the subject vehicles equipped with power steering, a fatigue crack may
develop on the steering relay rod. the crack may occur if the steering wheel
is repeatedly turned under certain conditions where high steering effort is
required. In extreme cases the steering relay rod may fracture causeing a
loss of vehicle steering control.

(Large bit snipped here cause its boring)

Bassically call Toyota on 1800 643 242 8-4:30 Mon to Fri (EST)

Toyota.

The VINs are listed at:

php?Recall_ID_Auto=13628>

As well as that recall of a week ago (Hilux stuff) there seems to be a
new one listed at <http://www.recalls.gov.au/> today -- for the Tarago
ACR30.
