Howzit Marty,   I did own a 95 4x4 dual cab bravo, did 60 000km in just over
12months mostly long haul highway miles.

It was great to drive, travelled well, and had plenty of power. The fuel
consumption was crap - I had expected better from a modern fuel injected
vehicle although I did know they were uneconomical when I bought it. The
other thing that disappointed me was the paint finish, very light on around
the edges and almost any area that wasn't external, hence I was always
chasing surface rust ( I am coastal).

Off road  ( sand for me ) it was as good as anything as long as it had
weight over the back wheels.

Mechanically typical Mazda excellent.
