UHF if you want to communicate with trucks etc.
HF if you want the ultimate security and 99.9999999999999999% garantee
you will get hold of someone.
Jason,UHF should do you just fine. Unless of course you are up to your
eyeballs in trouble, there's no phone coverage and no UHF activity, and then
you are going to curse me.

The new 400meg ones are even more accurate, and can be programmed with your
details.

I've just had to do a quick dash up the cape. The number of tourists is
staggering.
Standing on the roof of your broken down vehicle and bellowing would do
the trick.
Cept they'd never hear it over the CD and a/c.
Never mind a radio, take some cartridge paper and a nikko.
