Better than nothing, it's all I got, I can take it back if you don't want
it.
A mate put some in his Izuki there, it smelt of fish & chips but went ok :)

I have a mate in Bundaberg who brews his own with great success. I don't
know that he is producing enough to sell to anyone though.

He says his bio-diesel is costing him about 45cpl.

Seriously though, while the price sounds good he has to put a stack of work
in to brew it up.

He always tells me that if I want to buy the Methanol and get the oil, that
I can use his equipment.

But the effort required to mix, weigh, mix, test, mix, blend, mix, separate
etc etc etc seems a lot of work for such a small saving.

I have often offered to buy it off him for double what it cost's him to make
it, but he would rather I make my own.

Best regards

Garry

Its called CNG, cheapest available. Unfortunately not fully available for
cars yet. Mind you dont think that it can replace diesel.

CNG has been available for cars in Sydney for at least 10 years.

I know of at least one CNG outlet in Brisbane
the servo on Logan Rd Buranda where all the Taxis fill up(used to be a
Solo), Taxi company had an office behind the servo

it was a Govt regulation that if you had a CNG refueling point for your
fleet you had to make it accessable to the public

Diesels can run quite happily on CNG and Cummins and a few other engine
manufacturers offer a CNG engine for trucks, they are just modified
diesels

the biggest problem is fuel storage, unlike LPG, CNG is not liquid but
just compressed gas so the tanks are take up more room, and for long
range tanks they normally use 3-4 tanks instead of one big one

and of course there is the problem of finding more than one refueling
site

I used a twin tank set up. Had a small (30litre) tank made up for the petrol
and the room gained from the petrol resize made room for a large CNG tank.

Do you happen to know what $$$ it is per KG?

When in NZ it cost me $8 to fill up an empty tank and could drive around the
250Kms with it.

gary/linda - 14 Dec 2005 11:52 GMT
as far as I know you cannot buy it at the pump yet but a new plant is about
to open at narangba and should be selling it in next 12 months I would not
use it though as it made my air con play up  caused me a flat tyre and is
way to hard to make at home
but sometimes I,m full of S%$^T tax office also don,t like it so anyone
making home brew dieso will not give out to much info try svo and biodiesel
forum to get info on making it
gary in india now not brissie
