Hello All,

I am thinking about putting a motorcycle rack on my camper trailer and was
wondering if anybody has done this and what their experiences were.

The camper is a Goldstream wind up caravan type with beds that slide out the
end and the motorcycle is a 250 trail bike weighing around 130kgs. My
initial thought is to have the drawbar lengthened and mount the rack on the
drawbar. I am however worried about drawbar weight as my current towbar is
rated to 120kgs download. (There is a heavy duty 250kg model available).
Another suggestion is to build the rack from the rear of the van but not
sure how practical this would be...
Anyway if anyone has done this before, I would be interested in hearing your
expereinces.

Mounting a rack and a bike of that weight on the rear of the van would
mean relocating some weight forward, is there anything on the van than
can be moved foward? the water tank maybe if it has one

otherwise you'll have a tail heavy van which would sway all over the
road

I have seen it done several times but you must get the weight balance right.
