It's been a bit slow here.

So?

Me?.........a cast of hundreds, and logistics bigger than the invasion of
Iraq.........but we'll all finish up at Rollingstone Beach caravan park some
time on Xmas arvo. (Half way between Townsville and Ingham)

No 4wding, I can think of, although if I had MY way, we'd be lost in the
scrub out west some where that the relatives cant find us.

I might go for a hoon in the Patrol along the beach at sunset, if the tides
are right.

Yes, I'll keep my clothes on.

Have a good one, everyone!

Merry Xmas! from the Barnseys

Easy one this year, going to the pub for lunch then off to a friends place
for drinks, the home for a cleansing ale.

I don't know if I am getting off lightly or not, but Xmas is at the outlaws
this year. Mother in law can be a pain in the butt, sister in law is a would
be could be snob so by 4 in the arvo her and I will be at each other, can't
stand the bitch. Now the good part I have to work on Boxing day so I can
jump on my bike and ride off into the sunset 2 hrs to home leaving wife and
kids with the in laws. Only bad part of the whole day is I won't be able to
drink much (until I get home).

So Merry Christmas all,
Keep it safe and keep it fun.

Well I was dead right, just the timing was off. I had a great morning with
the family and a very nice ride, I arrived at 11.30 and by 1.00 pm I had
hold the bitch to
" go forth and multiply", but I was not alone by 8 that night the wife had
enough of the little condescending smart arse know all sarcastic would be
could be snobby bitch as well, she couldn't even be bothered talking to her
are that and came home a day early.
Next year the wife wants to spend Xmas in England, that's about as far as we
can get from her.

Rollingstone, the Caravan park by the water?  Stayed there in July this
year. Nice spot but a little suburbanised.
Was that a croc  I saw when I went swimming out the front and exited rather
rapidly when seeing something break the surface about ten meteres away?? I
was assured by a local up that way that they live in the estuary and only go
PAST the beach when travelling between estuaries....
Have a merry xmas and happy time there anyway, the pool is nice.

Yes, it's quite likely to have been a croc. And yes, that's the caravan park
we're going to. The in laws are setting up camp today (23rd) ...........if
you can call taking 2 fridges. a microwave, TV, DVD, and half the house,
camping.

We took the camper trailer up this morning. The hard part was putting up the
6 man tent for the kids, in 40 knot winds and 35 degree heat. A bit of a
marriage tester. But it's all set up for when we get there on Xmas arvo, and
I was compensated with a cold Gold at the Rollingstone Pub on the way home.

I'm not a fan of caravan parks at all, but when the 5 kids can bugger off to
the pool, or beach, or go and make freinds........it leaves me and Mrs
Barnsey in peace to have a few beers.

And the best investement has been 3 el cheapo hand held UHFs. Range of about
5 ks, so the kids can bugger off, checking in every 30 minutes, or we can
call them if we need them, or vica versa.

Highly recomended.

my kids being pulled.

just us - 23 Dec 2005 20:45 GMT
We are going to be home tomorrow (xmas day) and the whole tribe is going to
lounge all over front verandah - heaps of prawns, red claws (fresh from
Tinaroo) and way too much home brew!
Monday ( I have to go into work for an hour GRRRRRR) then we are out to
Tinaroo to put up the camper and spend the day there skiing, getting more
red claw. As the sun sets (or if like today as the rain pours down! LOL) we
will have a big BBQ and start the cocktail hour. hmmmm not sure about
cocktail "hour" but anyway, bed will be as close at the zipper door.
Tuesday will be home to an afternoon of open house here, a heap of freinds
are going to call in. Wednesday is work, what a bugger
Happy Christmas you lot
Kathy and Steve.
Garry Beattie - 23 Dec 2005 22:36 GMT
We will have Xmas at home with the kids. Usually just a quiet family affair
for us.
We usually throw a couple of various roast's on the BBQ spit (Pork, beef and
Turky) and just eat until we drop!!
Monday we head to Fraser Island for about 10 days on our boat.
We will be mainly anchored at Kingfisher Bay as my daughter loves the resort
and meets heaps of new friends to play with.
Thats about it for us!!

Just back from a week at Lennox Heads.
Took my son for a quick jaunt along the length of the beach.
First time I've been on sand without accompanying vehicle.

Response from son?
"Aaww... you didn't get stuck"
