Tomorrow is break the bank day. Full OME suspension replacement. And stone
guards :((
They're good stuff, but oh the price !
It appears that my original springs are no longer up to the task. Already
have OME shocks, and will keep em as spares. New steering damper ? Yeah, why
not. I'm only going broke once :((
Will I notice a change in ride for the better ? At the price...I always
wondered what riding on gold plated suspension would be like.

Tony Smith would be proud of you. Standard fourbies can't go anywhere
except into
the carpark of a soccer field.
Or pick up kids from the school.....and so on, ad nauseum

Get over it.

And you are progressing from merely being a big girl's blouse, to a
full blown sook.

Well it's done. I had OME springs and OE coils. (Which went everywhere). The
springs were worn out, the OME shocks weren't, although to be fair they had
only been in for 100K : ) Steering damper stuffed. Anyway, replaced the lot.
All shiny, not a drop of red dirt on it .80series standard diesel cruiser.
Results are pleasing rather than staggering. But no more Lurchio ! It feels
much safer, bumps are "dulled" , steering more precise, machine is higher
and not sure yet if it will get under the carport. It's still a truck, but
is much more driveable. I had the no real increase in height springs put
in. Extra height is a pita for me, and with the kind of touring I do its of
little value offroad.
As I was returning home, checking out the bumps and undulations I had to
"liftum foot". Now I had no idea that a side effect would be an increase in
speed. Obviously the increase in stability has brought out the wannabee boy
racer in me :))
They want to see the vehicle again after a while for warrenty purposes
(paperwork). Apparently the springs will "settle" in a bit.
Now for those speed bumps in the shopping centre car park :)))))))
