Nah !! Supposedly Mt Augustus is the biggest, from my memory of the
details, approx  1 1/2 ~ 2 times the size as a single monocline (I
think thats what they actually call it )

Will have to check the site again.

Ok have checked variopus sites now. It seems that it is actually
around 2 1/2 times bigger than Uluhru

So is it true it's "bigger" but most of i is underground?  If so, that might
not be as exciting as it sounds...

Most ppl out of WA do.

And there may be a lot underground but it is still pretty damn huge.

Roads good, sedans get in there. Not really a 4WD adventure to go in and see
it

Yeah, actually I must admit, I have been there, was just trying to
steer the topics away from Fraser island threads.....

They seem to go on forever...... <(:-))~

Went there last September, roads reasonable, bit dusty, but still
managed around 80 ~ 90 kph most of the way.

Went up through Mullewa, Murchison and Gascoyne.

Camped a few days at the Kennedy ranges site before 3 days at
Augustus.

They're both huge. Last went to the smaller version at Uluhru in Feb
2004.
