Having traded in my 97 Sportage for one of these, I'd like to get a
workshop manual (or at least a wiring diagram) for the thing. Anyone know
of any sources? A Google search seems to indicate that they are
unavailable to the Great Unwashed...

Try these part numbers:

99500-65D02-01E. 2 books, about 1300 pages
99501-65D00-01E. 1 book, 200 pages (transmissions, t/f, diffs)
99512-65D01-015. 1 book, 150 pages (wiring diagrams)

Prices are about $230, $85, and $80 from your Aussie Suzi dealer.
