Hi,

Thinking of replacing an ageing 3.6 V6 petrol Prado used off road
quite a lot. Anything similar out there? Looking for a brand new car.

Cheers

The new Prado of course
why go backwards when you already own a Toyota

maybe step up to the new TD V8 landcruiser 100 series

Pajero 3.2DID would be the natural choice.
From second rate Prado to award winning for all the right reasons Pajero.

Traded our 2002 Prado on new Pajero 3 mnths ago and Pajero is twice the
vehicle and tows the van like a dream.

Hi Chaps,

Thanks fopr your views. The new Prado seems to me to be less of an
offroad performer than my current model and the lack of a chassis on
the Pajero is a bit of a detractor for serious dirt use. Maybe I'll
have to go up to the 100 series of a Patro, though it would have been
nice to stick to the smaller size (handier in town).

Cheers

The New Prado should be just as capable offroad as the old model
same suspension setup
not sure if it has the traction controls of the Pajero, but the Pajero
needs it to make up for it's lack of natural offroad ability(all round
independent suspension)

the 100 series is not that much bigger than you may think, it is wider
but you'd hardly notice and the new turbo V8 diesel sh.ts all over any
competition

I took a 100 series (GXL TD Auto) for a test drive a week or so ago - very
pleasant to drive, and didn't feel any bigger than my 4Runner

Hi Kev,

Thanks for your views. I think that I'll have a look at the 100
series.
