I take it you mean in Cape York?

If you're traveling up there, you'll get plenty of info on the way. 30 cans! That wouldn't last too long. AFAIK, it depends on where you're going. There's some dry communities, so if you're traveling into or through their land, you obviously have to abide by the restrictions

I think it takes it in th arse that you cant even take it THROUGH
their shitholes to get to where your going to enjoy it yourself.

You just gotta hide it better!

You'd be amased at how many places there are in a 4x4 to hide stuff.  Once
watched one of those border patrol type programmes from the UK where these
two old foggies tried to import a bunch of alcohol duty free, when I say a
bunch they had over 200 bottles of wine hidden within the car plus thier
luggage. The only reason they got caught is the fact that at the time they
weighed vehicles in and out of the country before they boarded the boat (Pre
chunnel times)

They had gone as far as removing the door trims and boot linings to hide the
grog.  Was funny watching the customs taking it out.

Yep scotty you have a point about hiding it, unless you are being a total

trying to sell it to the locals will have you shot and then you deserve to
get caught but for your own consumption I cant see the harm in carting about
a little white lie.

It's the profit that's a bit tempting for some. $100 for a $35 carton of
VB..........That's the main issue, as far as I know.
Biggus..... - 16 Jul 2007 12:39 GMT
and then watch them fight over it!! f.ck it is tempting! Profit and
entertainment!

@ $100 a carton I could retire within a year

Just dunno if the ole girl wouls handle towing that much for that long!

Wonder if they are prepared to come just down a bit to meet outside the no
go zone?!?!?
$80 will do each then
;o)
Biggus..... - 19 Jul 2007 14:21 GMT

geographically, I THINK she is across the street.  I think that is
where the office is.  I could be wrong.

how bout mississippi instead

Mississippi is ok but it is not as hot as it is supposed to be.  it was 60
in the mornings.  Jackson was a cute town
with some to do.  Tupelo is really very small and has barely any
eateries even.

I am going to Hattiesburg next week.  We do not go back out til
October, but time will only tell whether or not I get to go this round

I wasn't pst'ing.  I was being fairly unsubtle.

You asked  if they are prepared to come just down a bit to meet outside the
no go zone and I said that they should meet in Mississippi.

So, if I could get there between 8:30 and 9:30 I would have a good chance to
see them?  How long will you be staying

Neither can I, but why should I have to hide it to drive through some
sh.t hole?  f.ck when I went up thru outback Qld in the 80s on the
bike, I couldnt wait to get out of these sh.t infested places. No
chance you would stop there for a beer in the street or even out of
town..
