Compact Cars For Sale.
For people who would like to have a vehicle that does not use up a
great amount of gas, compact cars would be the right kind of car for
them. Aside from this, compact cars are much more affordable. People
who would not like to spend much on driving and on purchasing a
vehicle opt for compact cars.
For around $10,000, you can now own a compact car. Decide how much you
are willing to spend on a car. Also, try to think of the features that
you would like your vehicle to have. Consider safety, performance,
value, handling, comfort, reliability, dealer service, looks, interior
room, mileage, and sources of parts.

I, indeed, would like a vehicle that doesnt use a great amount of gas, ULP, or
even diesel!
- I also like a car that has a good chance of making it to town and back without
something falling off it.
- I also like a vehicle that can have a bullbar fitted without the chassis
bending from the extra load.
- I also like a vehicle that can fend off a kangaroo(with a bullbar), and still
be driveable to hit the next kangaroo in 5 minutes time.
- I also like to have a vehicle that gives me the option to go camping; not
necessarily on bitumen roads! Birdsville springs to mind...
- I also like a vehicle that doesnt drag it's arse along the hump between the
wheel-tracks the whole way to town. Dragging it's arse along the road makes me
(involuntarily) clench my butt-cheeks, and I find this tiring after an hour or
so.
- I also like a vehicle that doesnt pack up with mud, and leave me stranded
half-way to town (when it occasionally rains).
- I also like a vehicle that can drive from all of the wheels, as this improves
the chances I might stay on the aforementioned muddy road.
- I also like a vehicle for which you can actually buy tyres designed with mud
in mind.
- I also like a vehicle with an alternator large enough to run at least 2
driving lights, AND a radiator that can be partically blocked and still keep the
vehicle operating normally.
- I also like a vehicle that can tow up to a ton of trailer, and not have a
problem with it.
Unfortunately, none of the compact cars on the market meet any of my 'likes',
aside from the first one. I havent seen a compact car that would be able to fit
our grocery order, or even make it home without missing a couple of wheels, and
most likely bleeding from the sump...
Aside from the first 'like', my Landcruiser ute meets all of the other
requirements... As do 95% of the cars discussed in aus.cars.offroad.
Which, brings me to wonder why you might be posting this helpful info in a forum
that focuses on off-road vehicles? Havent seen a compact car yet that will
survive for long on your average outback dirt road...
What a mystery...

Yes, Alas, I confess... My compact car cunningly disguises itself as a
Landcruiser, but the shadow remains that of a compact. Note the extra large
wheels I had fitted by the dealer (Compact cars have such options, you know!),
so it wouldnt start shedding parts crossing the first grid, on my way home...
