Hi,
I plan to go on a short trip (just over night) into the Blue Mountains.
It's planed to use the Ingar Fire Trail to go to the campground at it's
end to spend the night.
On the way back I'd like to use the Andersons Fire Trail and Murphys
Fire Trail to hit the Great Western at Woodford.
Are the trails I have chosen for the way back are always open, do I have
to check with someone about closed gates, are there any special thinks
to watch out....
Any helpful information is highly appreciated.
Thanks.
Cheers
Jörg

Beware of using fire trails in national parks. Check before you go that you
are allowed to use them. We were fined years ago for using the fire trails
in the park there - we hadn't realised that we weren't supposed to be there
(no signs) but learnt that the onus was on us to check. Lesson learned!

Thanks.
I checked it and found out that parts of the Andersons Fire Trail and
Murphys Fire Trail are blocked due to the destruction by some scum
heads.

Mostly locked gates in that area . Bushwalkers and cyclists only . See cma
blue mountains tourist map, the locked gates are shown.
You can come into the park from Glenbrook and there is camping at euroka
clearing and day use at ironbark picnic ground.
A bit of gravel road but it is all 2wd access. Not bad camping and you can
walk down to the Nepean river.
