I was surprised to come across it. Thought it might
interest some people.

yeah we were
many years ago when it first came out
there was one at the Toyota dealer at Salisbury in Brisbane

Im sort of half way into the thread so forgive me if Im off mark here......
but

The Toyota Mega Cruiser is wider than the Hummer and not allowed on
Queensland roads due to its width.  I only say that as theres one in the
Motorama Showroom in Moorooka that I checked out a while back and asked why
it wasnt on the road.  Their response was that its to wide to be road reg in
Qld.

It was quiite nice but weighing in at nearly 3tonnes and powered only by a
turbo 3 litre it wouldnt be a speed demon and Id imagine that it would
struggle to get out of a half decent bog. Muddies on or not.

Not to say that given one Id not drive it at all of course.
