Can anyone recommend a cargo barrier for a 1999 GV?  I need it to go
behind the front seats (and be removable) when the rear seats are down;
the Milford offering only goes behind the rear seats.

You either get Milford or make your own.

You can make second mounts for Milfords, as most cars they fit them to
have dual mounts, eg patrols, cruisers, jacks etc.

So it would seem...  They must have a bloody patent on them or something.

At the moment I cope by having all the heavy stuff down low (well, duh),
and if the car flips then I'm in trouble anyway...

Basically, if I can't see out the back then I've got too much on board;
worst thing I've been beaned with so far is the sleeping bag.

Thanks; I'll explore that possibility.

Milford barriers are crash tested and rated to meet Aust. Standards,
there are standards for cargo barriers, the new ones have to made so
that you can escape if you are locked into the back, this is either via
a removable hatch or a Perspex covered hatch that has to be broken(I
believe a small hammer is included for this)
