Hi all, I've got an early GU td42 turbo and need a snorkel for it. Any
recommendations as to which brand I should go for?
Thanks,
George

There are home made and there are expensive. Most I see around here SEQld are home made jobbies and
look crap, do the3 job okay but look crap.
Call ARB, Offroad Extreme, TJM,Fourbies etc etc for prices. As far as brands go Ive never had one
so cant comment.

Safari are the most common
there is also Airtec
the Airtec have two snorkle top options
the normal scoop type and one that hugs the windscreen
the last one I wouldn't get as the idea is to have the scoop so that it
reduces the amount of dust getting in
the windscreen hugging type will catch any dust blown up the windscreen
from down low, the normal scoop type will only catch dust up at that height

Little wonder, when you see the prices they ask for the after market
ones. I once went to an exhaust shop and had most of the snorkle pipe
(made from 3" exhaust pipe) bent to my requirements, made up an adaptor
to go between the carby and cleaner, etc. Didn't seem to make any
difference to the Landcruiser's performance and worked a treat.
