Has anybody had any experience with the Hella Predator series, xenon gas
discharge driving lights.
Price, performance etc etc. Gimmick or not.

We use them at work on the mobile machines, not bad units but price is
pretty hot. The only thing wrong is the work units are 24 volt.

Pardon my opinion but hella = sh.t
Light Force HID = good
Apart from being cheaper the units are self contained(balast)
But dont take my word for it as March's edition of 4x4 Monthly have a
writeup on all xgd's.

Save your $$ there will be a full 2 page spread from the winners brand
on the following pages, and even a set to win for subscription...

IMO Dont believe anything you read in them mags, $$ does funny things
to people.

Ive been out with Hella Pred's and they are quite good, but no
spotlight is worth $1000ea.... My Lforce 240s were $330 pr, and are
awesome.

Just been reading the suggested magazine article and I think it's time to
polish up the reflectors on the old Cibie Oscars. As my family would say, 2
of them and a tank of petrol would double the 4x4's value.

may have something to do with the 10,000v inverter thay use
that thing wouldn't be cheap

saw a set on a Millers Tpt Tanker, had a 10,000 V inverter to operate
them, is that just to start them or what?

Think of 4 240's against a pr of HID's and the $1300+ in yor pocket...
Which would you rather?

I cant see your point mate, as a mate told me he went to wholesaler for the
Lforce and they
had 4  240's on a rally car and replaced the 4 with ONE  HID and it
outshines the 4.
