Well for both towing and sand you cant beat an Auto, personally I dont like
em cause I like to "drive" my car rather than cruise in it but horses for
courses. If its a more powerfull car definately go the auto.

Well I would like to upgrade my 4wd and buy a new one ! A Patrol,
Landcruiser or Pathfinder but I would like the top end range 4wd with all
the toys, but they do not come in Manual just auto.

What are u experience with Auto 4WD would u buy one ? I tow my boat do a lot
of driving on the beach and go off ride every 2nd month.

Any advice would be great

Got an auto love it, towing is a breeze and for the average offroad work it's fine around town 70% of the time who needs a manual.

damn thats tiny writing

an auto is perfect for towing and sand driving, climbing steep hills off
road too
it's when you have to go down the steep hills that it can be a problem,
but probably nothing that can't be overcome with a bit if experience in
downhill braking using the brakes as compared to just downhill braking
just using the engine
