Hi All
The wife and I are interested in the Ford Escape, has any of you heard
any adverse comments about these.
We are interested in the V6 model and will mainly use it for beach and
fossicking in the mountains with lite to medium off road.
We are experienced off roaders with Land Cruiser, Range and land rover
but never owned one of this type.

Cappy

BTW we wont be towing with it.

I don't own a 4WD, but to me this older model still "looks more like a 4WD" than
the Territory.....

Had the first model of the Esky's when they came out to Oz, reasonable road
abilities with good enough off-road ability - as long as your smart.  It
never let us down.  Plenty of power, and good levels of grip with a decent
AWD system with true 50-50 torque split.  Got it up a hill that a guy in a
landcruiser couldn't - but I think its the power to weight advantage there
as soon as we needed to use a bit more wheel articulation it shy's from the
battle...
