Back on the 13th of March I wrote up a post about an accident I saw that
morning.  On the weekend I finally managed to get around to get some
photos of the road and the scene.

To jog your memories, the driver of an echo looked away from the road
for a second to turn off his radio, put his left wheels in the gravel,
over corrected, and rolled.  It's the 4th accident at that same spot in
two years, one of which was fatal.

This first photo is the view of the road the driver had just as he
would've decided to turn off his radio.  Just before the intersection,
pretty much smack bang where that commodore is you can see the road
quality changes.  In the distance, just before the road disappears
behind those trees you can see a road sign, it's a "gross load limit
10t" sign, which is clearer in the later pictures.  The driver came
within an inch or two of taking out that sign:

This is a closer view of the intersection in the previous photo.  The
driver of the echo would've started to wander out of his lane as he was
passing this intersection.  As you can see there is no shoulder
immediately after the intersection, meaning there is no room for error:

Skid mark next to the load limit sign:

After skidding and loosing control, the driver rolled and crashed
through a fence.  If you look at the fence on the other side of the
road, you can see that it hasn't yet been fixed after the Echo ploughed
through it.  Skid marks are still visible in the grass just in front of
the fence:

The Echo came to rest on the other side of the tree stump in that field.
As the car was rolling, it hit that stump.  The owner of the property
is debating whether to remove it, as the stump stopped the Echo from
rolling down into a creek at the back of his property:

Didn't manage to get any photos of the car on the day, but you can
imagine it was a write off.
