In 20 years of car ownership ive never had a wiper blade fall off, yet
for some reason ford seem to think they need a fancy a.s clip on the
ends of the wiper blade.
Anyone know how to get these clips off? I'd really like to replace the
wiper blades some day.

If you mean the metal arrow-shaped clip, use pliers and crimp the metal
inwards, and they'll slide straight out.

nah there is some black plastic clip sitting over the top of the metal
arrow shapped clip, preventing it from being crimped.

Thats only a plastic cover which just clips on ,just give it a pull
and it should come off easily

Rip it off and replace with a new complete assembly
