Does the bottom radiator hose attach directly to the water pump housing on
this engine? A friend of mine has a 260Z (under restoration) and she says
that this part (whatever it is) has a hole in it and needs replacing.

The lower hose does not connect directly to the water-pump, so there must be
a casting probably underneath the pump somewhere which has a large pipe
which takes the lower hose.
