I own a 1999 chevy malibu, I am looking to put Item # FS044

http://galls.com/style.html?assort=general_catalog&style=FS044&cat=2707

>in my car.  My question is can i simply swap this flasher for the Hazard light flasher, in my car so when i activate the hazard switch it will not make my signal lights operate in a on..off..on...off fashion but in the wig wag fashion? for roadside construction purposes. If so how do i go about doing this?
Thanks for the help,
John p.

For those who do not know what wig-wags are:

I just had a wild and crazy thought. If we INCREASED the speed limit in
roadworks areas, the guys might actually all start working and get the damn
roads finished quicker!!

You could drink metho and save money without noticing the difference...

There was a servo in surrey hills, used to keep the metho in the fridge. Not
kidding. Saw it, couldn't work it out until someone explained it.

Metho is about 95% ethanol. It's denatured to make it taste bad. Not only
that it's quite probably poisonous.

I'll stick to Smirnoff comrade.

It's denatured with methanol.  It's highly toxic and carcinogenic, even
from skin contact or vapour inhalation.  Use in BioDiesel production
requires good gloves and good ventilation (almost as important as working
with petrol!).

I didn't realise that it was sticky.  :-)

I was told by some x-spurt that they use benzene. That's why I didn't
commit to a particular additive. It may be a mixture of additives as I
don't think methanol would taste particularly bad to an alcoholic derro.

Sticky as Pesties undies after a Mitsubishi ad, if you mix with milk and
yoghurt.

Feck, forgot to include the big red gloves and metal mixing bucket
for mixing the methanol and drain cleaner to form sodium methoxide.

At least remembered to write UN: 1230, Hachem: 2WE, flammable/toxic
on the jerry can :-)

A week or so back, A huge ammonia plant opened up in W.A. with
export contracts to China.

The usual suspects were taking all the credit, etc and one of the
mentioned the uses of ammonia, but stopped short after
"fertilisers".

Strange that he didn't mention EXPLOSIVES and missile propellants! :-)

I find it's all quite easy to set up, put the fuel production shed next
to the drug lab shed, which is next to the hydroponics shed, which is
next to the explosives shed. This tends to provide enough income for
terrowwissiom. Heck, even I've got enough income from that to set up the
nuclear weapons production shed. Hmmm, feck, the back yard ain't big
enough :-( oh, might be able to squeeze it in, have to check with the
local council if that's OK.

Bugger, it all gets so confusing too when you don't keep all the
appropriate activities confined to the appropriate sheds. There are
serious OHS issues to consider which differ between sheds too.

Oh. I was hoping it was highly explosive yet simple to make. I have some big
red gloves and a bucket! And some spare drain cleaner too.

Fairly simple to make. Everything is available at your local shopping
centre, including isopropyl alcohol at the chemist, greasy old oil from
the fast food joints, vinegar and drain cleaner from the supermarket, and
a pH meter at Dick Smith/Jaycar. Oh, gas burner/bottle from BBQ Galore.

Might need to find out where to source your methanol, burette, graduated
cylinder for titration, 200L drum with top cut off, etc.

Was on a Newcastle train coming out of Sydney (central) last week and saw a
guy drinking from a metho bottle.  Right in the middle of a crowd of skool
kids on the way home from the royal easter show...  I'm not sure if anyone
else there even realised what he was drinking!

Not good.  :-(
