Commodore comes out of 3 year warranty late next month.
Two issues.
1. The last muffler, is it the catalytic converter, I'm not sure.(can't get
a vehicle manual I've tried) Its the SV8 with 2 pipes which join into a
single muffler at back. There is a small amount of water leaking from the
front join of muffler after the car has been driven. I wouldn't think its a
warranty issue but?
2. Had the car serviced at GMH dealer. Hand brake wasn't working at all.
They had to take it apart to fix charged $54. Documentation says had to
remove rear wheels & brake calipers & adjust H/brake. Sounded fine whats $54
when you're getting car serviced at a dealer! But thinking about it
afterwards wouldn't this be a warranty issue... its not just an adjustment.
Any opinions?

No, it's common to a lot of vehicles.

If it wasn't working *at all*, then the fix should have been a warranty
issue.

Nope, normal. Every litre of petrol burnt produces a litre of water, and
whilst the exhaust joint are reasonably air tight, they are not water tight.

It is an adjustment. The handbrake shoes themselves need to be adjusted
before the freeplay is adjusted, or else your handbrake may feel like it's
working well, but it won't hold.
Wear on the shoes requires the shoes to be adjusted, so it's a service item.

Are you talking about the one near the transmission? It could be
condensation from the air conditioner which is perfectly normal.

??? Sounds like a lot of money to me but then if they had to put new shoes
in there because you drove with the handbrake on (it does happen!), it is
probably about right.
