Coming up the Kalamunda Rd hill this arvo, doing 70/70 ans spotted a bike doing
>110 closing fast from behind.  Moved left so there was enough room for him
without jeopardising MY machine.  As he whizzed past, I looked in the mirror and
saw a candy car ablaze about 200m back, coming just as fast.  They both
disappeared from sight around the right-hander at the club/Gull servo.

Came around the corner to see - apart from four vehicles stopped on the road in
front of me - the HWP car in the middle of the next corner (left-hander at Stirk
Cottage for those who know the area).

As we crawled past, the two cops were pulling the rider out of the shrubbery.
He appeared largely undamaged, unlike his bike.  (He'd gone straight on at this
40-50-ish corner and hit the kerb at 45 degrees or so).

Excellent. Even better had he broken a collar bone or something as a
reminder to not be such a cockhead.

What was he doing in there?  Hiding?

Probably going to the toilet! The cops spoiled it for him.

My guess was he'd already been around 1second before hitting the bushes.

I don't have those doubts any more.

If he cant out run a cop car he shouldn't be riding a bike.
What do you have against bikers by the way.

What do you have against cops?

They're revenue raisers and concentrate on the easy fine instead of trying
to make the road safer. Hence they are at least partially responsible for
some deaths.

Spoken like most people with absolutely no clue what goes on in the force.

If you're referring to chasing baddies, I'm 100% behind that.  I know they're
damned if they do and damned if they don't, but IMHO if they don't chase them
we'll wind up with a Mad Max world real quick.  I only wish they were allowed to
shoot.

All you've done here is make a statement about me having no clue. You have
not actually raised a point about the police at all so I don't have anything

Yep...had to install a fully automated fire system
here, sprinklers, flashing lights and outdoor fire hoses.....all this for
a privite building built in 1910,if she goes up,the fire people are
going to be able to do absolutly nothing,I rely on good will passer by
or my automation system,
As perviously mentioned, there are no police out here, the ones that
are,are f.cking usless, fully automated security systems are in
place, there are no police regulating my place,I can assure you,it is
out think the opponants next move or pay for the criminals next ferrari
with your losses.

Went away for 2 hours a few years back and someone had tried to start a
fire under the foundations out front, few years on and 60k's worth of
tools gone missing, what do you think?
These people that do these things are legaly obligated to vote, but
thats right they are innocent untill proved guilty...what a system.
Lets all rip stuff off and endanger peoples lives by speeding, you are
innocent,untill caught by Gov Co.

I dropped my surname, if you call that changing my "whole newsgroup
identity" then I'm guilty. As for being wrong I had the polarity back to
front, big f.cking deal. You blew that one way out of proportion to make
yourself feel superior.

Except for the fact that I told you you had the polarity wrong for two
weeks (while you kept making half-smart "not as stupid as YOU") posts I
might believe you Micheal.
Good to see that you've finally grown sufficient backbone to admit you were

Damn you are a self serving knob. For 2 weeks you did everything but. If
you'd said, yes you've got it right but the polarity is back to front then
the whole issue would have been avoided but you strung it out in attempt to
make yourself feel superior.

As I said waaaay back then I had the polarity back to front.

You're beating things up again. I dropped my surname simply because I
thought it wasn't a good idea not to use my full name in a newsgroup. I did
not change my identity but whatever makes you feel better.

You really are an idiot knob. Seriously, there is something wrong with you
to still be going on about this 2 years later. I'm sure you consider that
post to be one the high points in your sad life. I suggested right from the
start this was a classic bad earth problem. I was correct except that in
this case except the "earth" was the feed back to the positive terminal
instead of the negative. Instead of just pointing that out right from the
start you strung it out and did your best to twist things. Yes I was wrong
in that I didn't realise the polarity was back to front but I was correct to
said this was a classic bad earth problem. With a bad earth one headlight
feeds power to the other and creates a circuit running through both
headlights. This is exactly what was happening. In a DC circuit with
something as simple as lights the polarity is irrelevant anyway.

I have no idea if dropping my last name (changing my entire newsgroup
identity as you called it :-) coincided with your post or not. Quite
possibly I though I didn't want fuckwits like you knowing my last name.

Michael are you really that weak that you can still deny that it was

admit that all your stupid cheap shots deserved a bit of derision?

OK. That's your choice.

The funny thing was it was you who was wrong, you just managed to twist
things pretty well to make it look the other way round. Straight off I said
it was a classic bad earth problem but it took you 2 weeks to get it. I must
admit you are much better with words than me and really did manage to twist
things around. It's a classic that you are so pathetic as to still be going
on about this 2 years later and even go to the trouble to google back to the
post.

Somewhat less stupid than the idiot who gets a feeling of superiority

That'd be pretty hard, since it looks to me like you made a big cast

I actually only mentioned it as a question as to who you were; YOU then
spurted all your childish lies and revisions so the only way to be fair was
to post a link to the original thread.
How much would you be bleating if I told it from my side!!!?

Typical hyper-aggressive bike rider, no sense of humour, bikes are sposed to

You got the relaxing thing wrong.
Nothing like the rush you get in that split second when the blue lights
come on and you make the decision you are not gonna stop
The blood starts pumping and the ride gets better from there on.
I ride a bike for a thrill not to relax.
I do drive a car when it is wet only so I don't go arse up on
all the oil the cars dump all over the streets in Perth.

What a dickhead.
Nobody can save a bike in a slide on a wet oily road.
Even the motogp riders go arse up if there is oil on the track.
You obviously don't ride a bike, just a big mouth wannabe.

They can't be any more oil soaked than Sydney's. I actually enjoy riding in
the rain. Keeps you alert and is usually just the right temperature too.

PS... Except for the day a hail stone bounced off the chin of my helmet and

Why don't you just stand in your shower with your clothes on?

Much less risk involved.

Riding with gob closed would be quite effective too, AND there'd be no need
to clean bugs out of teeth after each ride.

Yes the rider was not making good decisions , the fact he didn't smoke
the coppa indicates low riding skills , the fact you took pleasure in
his physical pain is very poor.

It is fine to laff but personal injury as described is not a laughing
matter...and taking pleasure in another near death is poor sportsmanship.

Nah, I think the major feeling he had was severe embarrassment at his errors -
firstly in being the ferkwit he had been, and secondly at not being able to
judge the corner.  I somehow feel this wasn't his best day.

XR8 Sprint - 09 Jul 2006 01:49 GMT
> HWP 1 - feckwit 0

Had a similar situation a couple of weeks ago on my way to Brisbane.
Pulled out of Rocky about 8.45am and got stuck in a line of traffic
following a caravan, who was admittedly doing pretty well at about 95 -
98kph. Got down around Ambrose and there's a clear stretch and I'm now 2
cars behind the van. Still double lines but close to singles. Next
minute there's an idiot goes zipping past and after a couple more
dubious overtaking movements he's in front of the van and gone. Probably
sitting about 140kph from the way he started to disappear into the
distance. It's the first Saturday of school holidays and at this point I
hadn't seen any HWP on the road having left Mackay at 5am. Get about 1km
down the road and there he is on the left stopped with a bright red
monaro with christmas tree ablaze on the right. Monaro did a u-turn
after I passed and pulled in behind stopped vehicle. I must admit I
chuckled.

I'm only glad:

(a) that he didn't score an oncoming car at the left-hander where he went
straight on (aka off); and
(b) it happened before the local lads started their work-to-rules campaign.
