God knows the Kia Pregio needs every centane-point increase it can
get:-)

Does it stink and is it greasy like the normal overpriced rubbish?

Well done S/Aust., is THE BioDIEsel capital of Oz [As is Vic. with LPG]

Yes, I've run the VW Transporter 2.4D on SAFF's premium diesel
(B20) when travelling through SA.  Absolutely no noticeable
difference from running on ordinary distillate.  Harmfull
particulate matter in the exhaust is apparently much reduced
with even a mild biodiesel blend, by virtue of the fact that
the esters in the biofuel are oxygenates.  And some added
biodiesel gives much better lubricity than the straight
ultra-low sulphur petroleum diesel we get now.

SAFF also sells B100 (straight biodiesel) at a couple of
outlets.  I've filled up with that too when passing through
Adelaide.

I notice that the mob in Sydney who were selling B100 (and B20
too, IIRC) aren't listed any more on the site:

I borrowed my brother in law's Kia Pregio a few weeks ago for a trip to
Sydney and back (from Queanbeyan).  It did there and back (about 600km)
on a tank easy, sitting on 110km/h, and fighting Sydney traffic.  Used
about 10l/100km I think.  Not a race car, but not unacceptable for a
commercial I thought.  Although I haven't driven many other commercials
to compare it to.

Its quiet normal actually considering its aerodynamics.

most have 580-600 HP
the new Volvo FM16 due out this year has 680HP
and around 2000lb/ft torque

of course all those express trucks don't carry max load weights

I used to run up Toowoomba in a 470 Mack and single trailer loaded to
45tonnes and have that bloody Millers Tpt Scania V8 B/D pass me, and
they loaded to 68tonnes
friggin 'Ol Eric grinning at me as he wizzed past

Properly made biodiesel will kill the dino crap any time. Diesel
engines
were not designed for dino crap and don't really run their best on it.

It's possible to produce biodiesel that is a serious performance fuel
compared with the dino crap, and that would be quite nice smelling
actually, and leave a petrol shite box smell about as good as a toilet
in comparison.
