Good to see the company that marketed the world's first TDI engine
[Fiat Croma] and the world's first common-rail [Alfa 156] also has the
most economical vehicle in Aust....and its a auto, 4.5L/100km

Its also Europes #1 seller

Pity about the total silly price, its frankly WAY to high by $5k, have
not seen 1 on the road yet

Hm consumption fgures like that are beginning to look more and more tempting

equivalents.

FIAT's have always been frugal on fuel, [130 V6 Excl.], its what the
Prius gets without the mid $30's pricetag.

Its to expensive for mine, you would be better of with a similar sized
vehicle, say a Tiida for $18k and a whole heap of money left over for
the fuel

FIAT are working on a very tiny engine with a turbo and some other
weird engine technology that i cannot understand, will have the best
economy/performance ratio ever reached in a smallish vehicle

Its European, a complete dimension from what Korea builds, but you pay
for it, granted it is loaded with kit and a 5 star safe vehicle, but by
the time u drive away its $25k

Cheaper FIAT Panda model on the way here, early next year

Thats not much cheaper than the base model Impreza ($23990 +orc) which
is also well equipped.
I know which one I'd choose out of those 2, as you say the Fiat is
overpriced by at least $5000.00

There was one parked behind the pits at Sandown last Sunday, it looked
OK but nothing to get excited about.

VW Polo TDi seems just as economical at a better price with a better
build and you wont lose half the value when you drive it away.

The Punto Grande is knocking on Golf for interior size, miles larger
than the polo

The Punto also has more std. equipment in it

The Punto is avail. with Auto-tranny

The Punto is easily Euro's. # seller

The Punto is still to expensive for mine, and no factory-backed
situation here in Oz.

The Punto is a better vehicle than the polo...period

Fiat's Golf fighter on the way early 07' [That will be difficult
vehicle to knock-off]
