That's what happens when you spend your time looking to see who's
looking instead of driving

Oz1...of the 3 twins.

I welcome you to crackerbox palace,
We've been expecting you.

And even better, he was over the limit and insurance isn't going to pay
out.

We don't have huge population of Ferraris here, so it is of some note.  And
particularly as the driver reputedly blew >0.2 (apart from a shitload of $$$$).

Update on the Ferarri Story.... classic... not even his car.......

Car was not his - *borrowed* from Barbagallo's (a local dealer).

Guy had been having a session at the Windsor, decided to show off, went to peel
out left from the traffic lights onto Mill Point Rd pulling the finger at all
the guys in the pub checking out the car, and understeered straight into the
pole when traction control kicked in.  Blew 0.244!

Guy sitting in the Ferrari in the first photo of the crash, with his arm on the
window sill, was the tow-truck driver.

Interesting you say that because as I look out my office window I see 3 in
my neighbour's garage. In fact, the population of Ferraris in this street
outnumbers that of Holden Commodores.

I'd suggest there aren't a lot of Perth streets with more Ferraris than Commodes

hey do you happen to have pics of the F40 incident?  it's not a morbid
fascination thing, it's just we have done Exotics in the Outback speed
tour for the past two years and done drag races out the front of the
Cannonball memorial... lots of Ferrari vs Lamborghini vs Porsche etc.

details here: http://exoticsintheoutback.com

also, the pics circulating the net were taken by the guy who owns
http://OzCarSightings.com, who sadly never branded his pics before
posting them on the interweb.

details of the 360 Spider crash here:

Google for an event sometime in the early 90's organised in part by Alan
Moffat called 'Cannonball Run' and held in the Northern Territory. It was
pretty much an event like the name of the movie starring Burt Reynolds. One
entrant was a Japanese dentist in an F40. He showed his lack of experience
driving at high speed by killing himself, his passenger and I think 2
officials as well by running off the road and slamming into their
checkpoint at well over 200km/h. It was all over the news at the time and
signaled the end of the 'Cannonball Run' event in its inaugral year.

And spawned that great quote (uttered by Moffat before the race): "Not all
Ferrari owners, are Ferrari drivers".
