Update on the Ferarri Story.... classic... not even his car....... Car was not his - *borrowed* from Barbagallo's (a local dealer). Guy had been having a session at the Windsor, decided to show off, went to peel out left from the traffic lights onto Mill Point Rd pulling the finger at all the guys in the pub checking out the car, and understeered straight into the pole when traction control kicked in. Blew 0.244! Guy sitting in the Ferrari in the first photo of the crash, with his arm on the window sill, was the tow-truck driver. >>Fascinating. Google for an event sometime in the early 90's organised in part by Alan Moffat called 'Cannonball Run' and held in the Northern Territory. It was pretty much an event like the name of the movie starring Burt Reynolds. One entrant was a Japanese dentist in an F40. He showed his lack of experience driving at high speed by killing himself, his passenger and I think 2 officials as well by running off the road and slamming into their checkpoint at well over 200km/h.
