As the dawn approaches for speeding fines and licence checks down ones
drive way, curious to know what speed you can get and in what car up and
down your drive way and into your garage or if you have ever tried.
If not where do you give your car a thrashing if at all?

My record is 110kph down the main straight in a Mazda 1974 929 wagon
after hitting the first apex at 75-85kph,at the end of the main straight
over a bump air borne for a few inchs just before the main road and last
right angle turn before making a really sudden stop to avoid hitting
my/a building and ending up side ways accross the main road.
Seriously hard on the car.
The hilux ute gets about 50kph down the main straight but feels like
200mph and floats everywhere, having one rear brake and a loose sway bar
dose not help.

Pretty pointless exercise, isn't it?

My driveway is about 4 carlengths long, my sisters driveway I'm
sure I could take the car off the clock being a few km's long,
paved and straight.

Cheers,
Rod.

A few kms long, paved and straight? Your sisters the Queen?!?!?

You better give her a rev up for building a straight driveway that long, how
ya suppose to have fun on a straight peice of road?

Not in my driveway that's for sure having a truck and low loader trailer
block most of it up I'd be lucky to hit 30 kph.

Huh! I go up and down my driveway in 1st gear. Soemtimes I get ambitious and
put it in 2nd, but it's leaping and getting air after 2/3rds and it's
getting way too exciting, and as the gate appears, on goes the brake.
So I won't be getting any tickets.

My driveway is about 15m  long but that didn't stop my other half from
taking out my shed at high speed.
