keep seeing people with their brand new 380(all 4 of them)standing in
servos for ages looking for the fuel flap release
you'd think the fact that it's on the key with the central locking would
be pointed out when they buy one

I'd expect so. No one else seems to buy them.

Its a stupid idea. God, there are enough electronic whizz-bang gizzmos to
f.ck up, let alone not being able to fuel in it if the key-fob lunches out.

we own fourteen of the last generation magnas as company vehicles. We've
gone thru about 30 key fobs in the past 4 years. I'm sure there's a manual
override for the fuel door on the 380, but gee, I hope the keyfobs are allot
more reliable. The battery cradle soldering cracks and lets go of the pcb in
the fob. Resoldering them is a nightmare, but it can be done and it works,
after reprogramming the vehicle to accept the key fob once again.

Well, that is MMAL to a tee.
The sooner Japan shuts it down the better..

You would think they would of put the button for the fuel lid release with
the audio buttons hidden behind the spokes of the steering wheel.
Which is a stupid place to put them as well. :-)

And "would have" or "would've" instead of "would of" - which is nonsense.
Hope that helps.

You have confused my with someone else. I was merely assisting someone who
was obviously attempting to correct the errors in what they had written.

think.
Will mummy take the computer off you if you type "f.ck"?

While that would certainly stop you from making such errors again, don't be
so harsh on yourself just because you don't speak English very well.

I would disagree on the volume controls
I drove a Mack quantum that had the sereo controls behind the steering
wheel and it was acually much easier to use that the front mounted
controls on the new Volvo
dunno why but it just felt more natural
the memory preset changer was a roller type dial in between the up/down
buttons and made using the radio very easy

I don't know much about the quantum probably because I have never been
interested in re badged Renaults. In the 380 The hidden steering wheel
controls leave a lot to be desired to me personally. Not only are they
located deep behind the wheel but they are very confusing until you get a
chance to play around with them and get used to them. I would have
preferred to have the controls in plain sight steering wheel.
