Odd, one of the questions asks about an Austin
I couldn't see any Austin, although he explains it as a Ford Popular
Looks like a Ford Anglia to me, the Ford Popular was the utility version, I
had one I bought from the Gas company.
The Ford Anglia two door sedan had the 8 horsepower motor and the Ford
Anglia ute, which was called the Ford Popular, had the anglia features, but
with the 10 horsepower motor, the same motor they had in the Ford Prefect, a
lot of those motors found their way into fishing boats down Westernport Bay

IIRC, Ford Popular in the UK was for many years the stripped out version
of whatever was the volume small/family sedan of the day, in this case the
Anglia. The last one I remember was the Escort Popular which had a 4spd,
1100cc engine, heater/demister, rubber mats and enough bits to get it
registered. Wagons as well and the occasional van, but don't recall any
utes over there. Cheers
