SBS also want all the Mitsu fans to go to their website to
tell them why they love their cars. :-)

The blue one was a 34.

Yes course you are right, for some reason I did not include that I just
wanted to more or less point out they were discussing the older models, the
ep itself although it is not that old in the context of the cars in focus,
however compared to the eps I see on cable it is at least a year behind on
SBS.

Oh right-o. I just did a search online and could only find a reference
to Season 1 episode 4 which also had the Aston Martin. Cheers.

Ic, um I do recall vaguely a earlier ep than the one shown tonight featuring
Skylines also perhaps more than likely from season 1 or 2, I may be wrong.

Good that they cover the 'good three' models with the RB engine.
Found a torrent of it, so I'll get to watch it - eventually.

Yep; that's the one!
SBS have run out of "new" episodes so have started from series 1 (of the
"new" Top Gear. 2002) and are showing all the stuff that was never telecast
in Aus before.
James May appears in series two and White Stig appears in season 3.

Yeah, perhaps SBC had not screened this ep before, between cable, you tube,
finalgear.com and SBS makes it confusing for me to keep up with that show
especially when re-watching earlier eps that SBS may have on screened once,
good show imho, however the more outstanding ep's are just that and some are
a bit of a yawn tbh but I will take it for what it is, there are that many
new car shows on cable now it is not funny you have D/C, then TLC channel
and the DIY channel by the way of which has some very good car/motorcycle
fabrication type shows.

While I am at it I will also mention that it  looks like Boyd's old show AH
has been replaced now with Street Customs that is actually West Coast
customs mod shop, recent ep featured a Carol Shelby endorsed car in
retrospect, Shelby also highly recommended WCC and I don't know if it was
scripted or not but the car built (1 of 10 I think) was given to Carol his
face was priceless so I gather that was not in the script the whole ep sorta
acted out like Overhauling does which I think is also a pretty good to
watch.

Any of the shows with Mark Evans are good (well, I think so anyway).
The 4X4/car/chopper/race car/etc is born series... not sure if they've
even aired in Oz though. Thankfully we have the Interweb...

Agreed, he explains stuff nicely as he does it, the quality of these have
improved since the very early series of AH, AH was a good show until it went
through the motions with the staff, singling out the bluebear character was
fatal as was the case with Mike who of course ended up on Overwhoring. I dm
the new Street Customs show it is better than West coast's earlier efforts
on the now defunct pmr.
