Yes, of course.

Additional and un-called-for information:

Some of the Caltex servos let you use your discount vouchers for LPG.
Some of the Caltex servos won't honour Woolworths fuel discount vouchers
- they crap on about offering friendly service and convenience with
stickers on the pumps, though.

Which would be nice if it wasn't total bullshit.

Because they are not woolies servos
just like there are Shell servos which do not honour Cole vouchers and
then there are Coles Express Shell servos which do

Should do.,
It's about time Coles & co. gave a CPI + peak oil related increase on their
discount.  Perhaps make it 20cents/l - I would pay to see that.

I think so. What is 4c on $1.90 ? f.cking costs more to keep
track of  the vouchers.

So would that apply to the big trucks as well

AFAIK it does but most transport companies have deals with the oil
companies so they don't pay the pump price anyway.
My former boss had a deal with a few BP servos around Melb which gave
him 4cpl discount plus he also got a 1cpl discount because he buys more
than 1 million ltrs per year plus another 1cpl off because he always
pays his fuel bill in full every week.

OK, and he's not one of the 'majors', either, which in point of fact
would be getting a far better discount.
I particularly Looovve the 1cent off scam for paying weekly.
f.ck, I pay every time I use the pump/ That's worth at least 2 cents
off, right?
But I'm starting to think Discount is not the right word at all.
What's happening is that the main players are given the correct pricing
structure, and the rest are gouged. The spin being that the shop price
of the item is discounted, rather than that the shop price of the item
is simply a super-high retail rate which most people simply Have_To_Pay.
The great unwashed is out here thinking ALL the stuff they buy
especially food is subject to the massive prices they see for diesel at
he servos - nothing could be further from the truth.
And then we have the contract hauliers shifting stuff for the big
players under contract - the main players are actually driving these
people out of business by contracting them to move stuff for them at
fuel price rates utterly different to those then pay themselves.

Nice.

Anyway, the 'explanation' for the high price of Diesel in Australia is
simply the OilCo's being advantage takers. It's a head-to-head
competition with GovCo (also set up as a disgusting business revenue
raising venture) for the money of the people.
Those in business, formerly regarded as being the base set of Diesel
Users can use their expenditure on diesel to offset taxation.
Needless to say, OilCo's want as much of that amount per litre as they
can get, and boldly ask for it at the pumps. They get it of course
because GovCo is too sh.t-scared of the turds to compete properly, and
so guess who loses. Big time.
In short, anyone in civi-street using their car in an entirely normal
manner, is a Victim if they use diesel.  And they are nutso-whacko to
buy a diesel vehicle, unless they're on that extremely precarious
salary-sacrifice taxation scam.

will yes but each voucher has the condition up to a limit of I think
150 bucks (too lazy to go out to the vehicles and check)
If you  (like us ) have a Caltex or BP card and get bulk purchase
discount you can not pay with the card  and redeem the  voucher .
it is all printed on the docket cobber .

> So would that apply to the big trucks as well

The coles/woolies vouchers apply to all fuels sold in some servos.

In the case of woolies, they are only honoured for LPG at Plus Petrol
outlets, not all Caltex outlets.  They are honoured at all Caltex
branded outlets for petrol and diesel AFAIK.

In the case of coles, they are only honoured at shell outlets showing
coles express signage.  That applies for all fuels.

The vouchers have a volume limit.  The coles and woolies ones usually
run a limit of 150L but some high-discount (eg 10c/l off) or other
brand (eg IGA) vouchers are limited to smaller quantities.  IIRC, the
IGA limit is 80l.

That's limit per transaction.  So you go in, put in 150l, pay, then go
and put in another 150l, pay...  Or, late in the evening, chuck 2
bowsers onto 2 fillers and put 150l in each then pay the two on
separate transactions.  :-)

Or you kindly assist the overworked person behind the counter when *some
idiot* has a big oil spill, by cleaning it up for them, since they were
in nice clothes, and 'one' was in work clobber, and end up getting teh
discount whether you produce any dockets or not.

*I realise it might not be believed, but in this case I was _not_ said
idiot :) (though I have done it when I lost oil pressure and rolled into
the nearest servo outside of castlemaine, because it lunched the oil
pressure sender internals)

Nope
only Caltex/Woolies sites
there are plenty of non woolies Caltex sites that don't honour them
