Heat it up and wipe it with a large rag or a heap of paper rolled up in a
ball.

The beach where I live has a number of BBQs provided by the local
council for public use. They clean them every morning with nothing more
than high pressure water.

High pressure water worked a treat

Thanks

Wet paper towel with some vinegar, then scrub with another paper towel
with some cooking oil, then pour more oil and cook your cookables.

You should use better degreasers :-)

BTW, I bought my BBQ's Galore BBQ from their clearance shop on
Parramatta Rd at less than a third of  normal retail.

Whoppy fucken do.

You want a fucken medal or something?

I'm very surprised at you Oz, I thought that you would have some contacts within DJs or Harveys that
would pass one on to you for free.

I've ussed a degreaser from BBQ's Galore...It was very good but
aerosol and expensive for the quantity.

Nah...I don't have any room in the trophy cabinet ;-)

About the only f.cking thing you're not in, considering you've
apparently been in on everything else to happen in this country in the
last 50 years. Stainless steel fabrication, motor racing, aviation, boat
building and f.ck knows what else.

It's called "Cinderella"
It's kind of a greener alternative and it works ok then after about half an
hour, i just give it a good going over with my Karcher...works a treat and
you'll find it in most supermarkets.
I do a lot of slow smoke cooking and have never tasted any degreaser taste
or smells so I reckon it lives up to it's name.

That would be no good for a late evening BBQ,
as Cinderella wasn't any good after midnight

or maybe you are thinking of Citronella?

Nah Dawgie...it's actually called Cinderella, they have both a degreaser as
well as a general all purpose cleaner....the degreaser is a RED colour and
the cleaner is a Green.
It doesn't have any petro chemicals in it.

I have used it on my BBQs a fair bit and there is no smell or bad taste....I
mean to say..you've gotta give it a good wash too after application.

I think I found it in Either Coles or Aldi..can't remember which one.

cheers
DJ
