I have it on very good authority, that the new rules for altering the
ride height of vehicles will be deferred until some common sense
prevails for vehicles where height is altered by no more than 50mm

Announcement should be made tomorrow.

Oz might have something right for a change.

One of my customers rang me this afternoon and told me that he had an
email from the RTA to say that the new rules are going to be deferred
but there is no indication anywhere as to what the period of the
deferral will be or what changes are being considered.

I haven't had any independant confirmation as yet.

Somehow, I suspect that I'll be the last person that officially gets
told.  :-)

Yeah, you're the proverbial "wolf crier".

You bullshit and twist so often that most disbelieve you even when it's
possible you may, for once, be correct.

If you put an infinite number of narcissistic liars in front of an
infinite number of keyboards, eventually one of them will accidentally
get something right.

The coalition and the shooters party (who hold the balance of power in
the NSW Legislative Council) have indicated opposition.  The pressure on
the government is fairly significant.  The minister may have to name and
sack person(s) within the RTA in order to save his own career.

That's why I didn't start this thread.  The strength of that call wasn't
really enough proof for me to announce it, but with oz having made a
statement that was consistent with it, and the timing looking like it
would fit, I figured that I'd mention it.

LOL.  AIUI, there have been several hundred emails to the minister with
a link to my blog and asking him to respond to the issues I raised.  I'm
pretty certain that the RTA staff concerned know about it...

I expect that the only communication I'll get about this will be the
official announcement of the change, because I'm on a mailing list.

A pathway common almost anywhere. Seen the procedure in action
many times.

Just think, many decades ago, some "backyard injunear or
mechaniac", made up some blocks, got out his oxy and caused
all this trouble.
