Got home tonight after a short drive to the shops for food etc, went back
out to the car and noticed some water like substance on the ground, thought
it was just the a/c, but then rememberd that I had the climate control OFF
on the way out and back home.

Smelt the substance and it's coolant :( Appears to be leakign from the
radiator somewhere, but cant' get enough access to check where exactly
(without taking all the fan covers, air intake etc off) Looked at the
coolant level and it had dropped from mid way to well below low in a few
hours :( Doesnt' appear to be coming from the hoses or anything simple :(

Will top it up in the morning, drive the Ford dealer and be prepared for
more $$$ to repair !

The radiators are aluminium and plastic, if you get an electrical current
running through the radiator water, the aluminium corrodes quickly.

I'd be inclined to get that checked as well.  The car is not that old.

Top it up and drive to a radiator repair shop, and save yourself  a shitload
of money.

I got a new ali radiator for the GTR earlier this year for under $400 new.
Shouldn't cost you a load.  Pull the radiator (5 minute job) and take it to
a radiator specialist.  Ali with plastic end tanks means if the tanks are
leaking you can have them replaced pretty cheaply.
