Where can I buy a new Sirion gtvi (the current model, not the new model that
is about to be released next month).
i've rung 3 dealers in Sydney and they all say theres no more since the new
model is coming out.
discountnewcars.com.au and privatefleet.com.au can't help either

Phone Daihatsu dealers around AUS, try Melb.  They can transport a car to
your door with the papers necessary for registration.

For the same reason nobody in their right mind should buy a
second hand WRX Impreza!

Just imagine the ad: "MY03 WRX 30,000km, hot exhaust,
big wheels, turbo timer, dumped, big stereo, tacho and gauges
on bonnet, only driven by old lady on weekends. (ps: never
come on boost). $40,000ono"

I've probably missed something there!

He wants new for the same reason I would buy a new sporty
car - because nobody else has thrashed the ring-gear out of it.

I bought a second hand WRX and it has been great.  It had a problem I knew
of when I bought it and negotiated accordingly.  Other than that it hasn't
missed a beat.

The power to weight ratio of the Sirion GTvi is no too bad at 75kw (from a
1300cc or so motor) in an 830 kg car.

Plus, what, 80 Kg's of a bint that has laughingly developed a
'personality'?
Getting close to that magic tonne - add the obligatory auto-trans (one
pedal for each foot), 50 Kilogram Handbag, a few changes of stout
underwear, two coats three dresses hanging so as to obscure vision,
4,000 lollie/chocolate wrappers, assorted fluffy toys and cushions
originally arranged and designed to adorn a ladies bed FFS(for
you-know-what reason - see my previous post on design defects,) not a
car, and voila you have a unladen Corolla - not to flash  for a
Lawnmower engine at all.

Since when is a Daihatsu a sporty car?

the target market sees it as sporty and as such alarge majority will thrash
it a fair bit.

I would've thought that the type of person that finds that sporty, wouldn't
be the type of person to thrash anything?

I take that back.  I pulled up behind one at the lights tonight so I thought
I'd overtake it and see what sort of person was driving.  It was an old fat
dude with a beard.  And I easily overtook him in the wifes Musso.

To be honest, I don't know why anyone would *want* one of these things, as
they're the tinniest little heaps of sh.t you could find.
